The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Madrid, in collaboration with SW International and SW Spain, organised a business executive forum in Spain in April that focused on the "Reopening of China to international trade". The event was intended to develop a comprehensive strategy to attract Chinese investments into Spain and maximise opportunities for Chinese enterprises in the country.
The forum was attended by many leading business executives and policymakers, including the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Madrid, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Community of Madrid, Mr Marco Carlei - Managing Director of SW International, Ms Leanne Liang - Senior Partner of SW China and Ms Loreta Calero - CEO of SW Spain. The forum provided a platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions on various aspects of the reopening of China to international trade and how it could potentially benefit Spain. The forum also provided a channel for participants to discuss the challenges and opportunities in attracting Chinese investments into Spain and explore ways to maximise the prospects for Chinese enterprises in the country.
During the event, participants highlighted the importance of fostering a business-friendly environment in Spain and the need to provide more incentives and support to Chinese investors looking to do business in the country. They also discussed the potential areas of collaboration between Spanish and Chinese enterprises, such as renewable energy, infrastructure development and tourism. Overall, the forum was a great success, allowing the participants to exchange ideas and insights on how to strengthen economic ties between China and Spain and to explore new avenues for collaboration and of mutual benefits.
